Six Years of Atlantic Soap Co.
A look back at where we started — and how far we’ve come
On June 27, 2019, I set up a small table and tent on Falmouth Harbor with six varieties of handmade soap, a bouquet of backyard hydrangeas, and a whole lot of hope. That day, after more than a year of planning, Atlantic Soap Company was born.
What started as a one-woman operation quickly grew into something much bigger — thanks to the support of customers like you, who believed in the power of a good bar of soap (and a great story).
Over the past six years, I’ve introduced dozens of new soaps and expanded our offerings to include soy candles, lotion bars, lip shimmers, and sustainable bath accessories. I weathered a pandemic, dove into e-commerce, and found new ways to bring our coastal creations to customers both near and far.
In 2021, I partnered with the talented team at Chipie Design to rebrand and redesign our packaging — making sure every product told a more cohesive, intentional story. I also had the joy of welcoming retail partners who believe in this little brand as much as I do and display our products so beautifully in their shops.
Some of our proudest moments have come through creative collaborations with other small businesses. We've teamed up Chatham Kelp, Fitness Directions, Devil’s Purse Brewing, Hatchville Baking Co., and The West End — and it’s been a joy to see our soaps and candles reach new communities through these partnerships.
Along the way, Atlantic Soap Co. has been recognized by The Boston Globe, Yankee Magazine, and Cape Cod Life — milestones I never could have imagined back in that first summer.
Through it all, I’ve kept showing up to markets — sometimes in sunshine, sometimes in wind and rain — because nothing beats seeing your faces in person. I love answering your questions, hearing your stories, and watching you light up when you find your scent.
This year, I reached two new and exciting milestones. In January 2025, I welcomed Leizl, our first-ever Studio Coordinator. With her by my side, the day-to-day of Atlantic Soap Co. is running more smoothly, creatively, and joyfully than ever. She’s been a true gift to the team.
And in April, we opened the doors to our very first pop-up shop in downtown Hyannis, in partnership with Love Live Local and Cosanila. Being able to connect with you in a dedicated space — surrounded by thoughtfully made, coastal-inspired goods — has been a dream come true.
